Lines That Begin Again
An abstract art book of minimalist ink drawings

A work of contemporary visual poetry from the Azryn Series.

Ink on paper — minimal, yet expansive.
Each line traces the fragile boundary between choice and consequence, silence and expression.
Each stroke is a path. Each pause, a story.

This is a space where abstraction becomes a reflection of lived experience.

The Azryn Series unfolds in three stages:

Step I — The Beginning
Ninety A4 ink sketches marked the origin of the series — raw, exploratory works capturing life’s paths through restrained black and red lines.

Step II — The Development
The work expands into ninety A3 ink drawings. Each line descends, branching into choices, conflict, and resolution. Red appears as disruption or grace, shaping each trajectory. These works stand on their own while informing what follows.

Step III — The Culmination
The series will conclude with up to ninety oil paintings, developed in the same limited palette of black, red, and white — translating the immediacy of ink into a more permanent form.

Each drawing is both an exploration and a rehearsal.
A single line moves downward across the page — marking beginnings, diversions, hesitation, and conclusion.

Black holds structure and continuity.
Red signals disruption — pain, doubt, or transformation.

These works are not endpoints, but preludes — studies for the final cycle of paintings.

Together, they form a finite and self-contained body of work.

Lines That Begin Again invites a slower way of seeing —
an encounter with time, movement, and choice through minimal form.
